10.1 Introduction
Communicator Touch Panel for digital cinema projectors
The Communicator Touch Panel is designed for m ulti-user command and control, the Comm unicator enables users to learn quickly
and operate e fficiently - using an elegant and flexible touch panel interface. The interface’s commonality means that operators
can intuitively use any model in the product line, without restriction, and its user-friendly nature translates d irectly into a short and
enjoyable learning curve.

The touch pan el interface can be m ounted upon a swivel arm which easily fits on top of the DPxK B LP series projector. O ne central
locking mechanism of the swivel arm allows an instant fixation of the touch panel interface in any position.
The touch p anel interface can also be installed further away from the DP xK BLP s eries projector. For that you can us e a serial
(RS232) cable up to 10 m eter or an Ethernet cable up to 50 m eter to allow a direct data com munication between the DPxK BLP series
projector and the Communicator Touch Pa
nel.
The touch panel interface can also be connec ted with a Local A rea Network (LAN) just like the DPxK BLP series projector. In this
case both devices can communicate with each other as we ll.
The touch panel interface requires a +12 VDC voltage, 1,5 ampere. The use o f a separate +12 VDC adaptor (1,5 ampere minimum )
is required.
