9.7 ICMP H DMI 2.0 specications
HDMI
HDMI (High-Denition Multimedia Interface) is a compac t audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed video
data and compressed/uncompressed digital audio data from a HDMI-compliant device ("the source device") to a com -
patible computer monitor, v ideo projector, digital television, or digital audio de
vice. HDM I is a digital replacement for
existing analog video standards.
HDMI 2.0 specications
HDMI
Both HDMI 2.0 inputs are fully compliant with the HDM I 1.4, 1.4a, 1.4b, 2.0 a nd 2.0a revisions of the HDMI specication.
Full Ran ge and Limited Range Quantization ar e supported for all specied formats.
BT.709 and DCI-P3 are su pported for all forma ts. For HDR content (UHD and 4K only) the B T.2020 color coding is supported.
All video s treams should have a progressive s can order, with the ex cep
tion of 19 20x1080i 60 fps (interlaced scan).
HDCP
Both HDMI 2.0 inputs are HDCP 1.4 & HDCP 2.2 compliant.
HDR (SM PTE ST 2084)
HDR (High Dynamic Range) is supported on all UHD and 4K formats.
This inc ludes SMPTE ST 2084 (static metadata) and B T.2020 color coding. Requires a license!
HDMI 2.0 Cable requirements
All HDMI cables should work with HDM I 2.0 receivers. There is no such thing as a “4K HDM I cable” even though this is some times
sold this way. But of course there are quality differences. The high-speed” ca bles w ould be preferred over the “s tandard-speed”
cables. They usually work at higher cable lengths than the standard-speed ones.
