This table shows the result of the steps taken to calculate the individual allocated
bandwidths:
1. Calculate the bandwidth for each queue based on the total weight (30) and the available
bandwidth of 40 kbps (5000 bytes).
o Queue 1 = 5000 * (9 / 30) = 1500 bytes (12 kbps)
o Queue 2 = 5000 * (8 / 30) = 1334 bytes (10.672 kbps)
o Queue 3 = 5000 * (7 / 30) = 1166 bytes (9.328 kbps)
o Queue 4 = 5000 * (6 / 30) = 1000 bytes (8 kbps)
After Round 1, all bandwidth is consumed and the calculation loop stops.
Case 3 Example 1 Summary – Each queue’s share is as follows:
 Queue 1 = 1500 bytes (12 kbps)
 Queue 2 = 1334 bytes (10.762 kbps)
 Queue 3 = 1166 bytes (9.328 kbps)
 Queue 4 = 1000 bytes (8 kbps)
