1 LED Indicators
The LEDs show a summary status of modem operation. See Sect. 6.1.1.
2 Keypad
The keypad has six individual keys. The keys have a positive ‘click’ action that gives
tactile feedback. Use the keypad to enter data. See Sect. 6.1.2.
3 Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD)
The VFD shows data, menus, prompts and messages. The VFD is an active display with
adjustable brightness. It shows two lines of 40 characters each. Nested menus show all
available options and prompts that guide you in carrying out required actions. See Sect.
6.1.3.

Ethernet-based Remote Product Management of the CDM-570A/570AL is available using one of
two rear panel RJ-45 10/100 BaseT Ethernet ports:
 The ‘M&C 100’ 10/100 Ethernet port (for units without the
optional IP Packet Processor)
–or–
 The ‘Traffic 100’ 10/100 Ethernet port (for units equipped
with the optional IP Packet Processor).

SNMP) UNDER THE ASSUMPTIONS THAT:
 A compatible ODU is connected to the
CDM-570A/570AL.
