These controls enable the user to adjust the image to minimum in order to reject the opposite sideband.
There is an automatic process for doing this on receive (signal source required). For transmit, the process is
described below.

Image Rejection means finding adjustments for phase angle and gain differences between the left and right
channels in your stereo card (or the in-phase (I) and quadrature (Q) signals). The algorithm that does this
assumes that the phase offset and gain difference between the I and Q channels are constant across all bands
and assumes that the audio channel is linear across the sound card bandwidth. This works extremely well in
practice.
