Gilera GP 800 i.e. - Refitting the Stator; Stator Retainers

- Check the continuity between the 3 phases.
N.B.
VALUES ARE STATED AT AMBIENT TEMPER-
ATURE. A CHECK WITH THE STATOR AT OP-
ERATING TEMPERATURE MAY RESULT IN
VALUES HIGHER THAN THOSE STATED.
Electric characteristic
Resistance:
0.2 - 1 Ω
- Check the ground insulation of each phase.
- If a fault is found, carry out a thorough check of
the cable harness that contains two types of cable:
Rigid cables close to the stator and flexible cables
close to the connector.
- Check that the winding is positioned so as not to
interfere with the heads of the retaining screws.
Refitting the stator
- Install the stator assembly together with the wir-
ing harness, tightening the 3 screws to the pre-
scribed torque.
N.B.
INSERT THE RUBBER WIRING SEALING GAS-
KET INTO THE SPECIAL SEAT ON THE
CRANKCASE.
