Gilera GP 800 i.e. - Air Switch Screw; Refitting the Driving Pulley

- Check the guide shoes for the variator back-plate
are not worn.
- Check the wear of the roller housings and of the
belt contact surfaces on both pulley halves.
Characteristic
Standard clearance:
0.01 ÷ 0.1 mm
Refitting the driving pulley
- Follow the removal steps but in reverse order being careful to tighten to the prescribed torques with
the specific tool.

Drive pulley nut 252 ÷ 278 Air switch screw 3 ÷ 4

«A» - CHAIN
- Lubricate, check and restore chain tension as in-
dicated in the scheduled maintenance table; see
the «Maintenance» Chapter.
- To replace, follow the instructions in the following
pages.
«B» - CROWN
- The crown is fastened to an anti-vibration buffer
flange to the rear wheel.
- To replace, follow the instructions in the following
pages.
«C» - PINION
- The pinion is an integral part of the pinion unit.
