Power off the INS unit.
Connect the encoder to INS special port which is factory configured to
receive pulse/bi-phase signals from encoder. Power on the encoder and the
INS unit, wait initialization time and start INS operation. INS unit will use
odometer data at GNSS outage automatically for INS position, velocity and
orientation calculation.
10.7.3. Encoder-based odometer calibration
The aim of the odometer calibration is accurate estimation of the pulse
length.
Start INS ordinary operation, with encoder connected. Start vehicle run. The
odometer calibration can be started at any time after INS started calculation
of valid position, velocity and orientation.
