4.2.7. Change of the main COM port baud rate
The main COM port is used for the INS connection to the host computer for
receiving commands and output of INS data. The default baud rate for the
main COM port is set to 115200 bps (maximum for the standard COM-port).
If the host computer requires other baud rate for the INS connection, then
user can choose one from the next list: 4800, 9600, 14400, 19200, 38400,
57600, 115200, 230400, and 460800 bps. The same baud rate must be set
in the Test Options of the INS GUI.
Notes:
1. Baud rate change is implemented in the INS firmware version since 2.2.0.0 and it is
supported by INS GUI since version 2.0.19.78 from 03/18/2016.
2. To allow baud rate change the INS unit must be connected to computer and powered.
3. Standard COM-port of a host computer (PC) does not support baud rate greater than
115200 bps. Therefore some Serial-to-USB adapter should be used for INS connection
to the host computer.
