The Standard Eclipse Package
A standard Eclipse consists of two physical components:
• 1 DioCore providing stage I/O:
o 7 SI-8D3 cards = 56 mic preamps
o 1 UM-8PO card = 8 outputs (Line/AES/ADAT)
• 1 Console providing local I/O:
o 1 SI-8D3 card = 8 mic preamps
o 2 UM-8PO cards = 16 outputs (Line/AES/ADAT)
o 2 FM-8VB = 16 mono effects bays
o 16 Line inputs and 16 Line outputs
Note that the Console frame also houses two separate control
computers for:
• NOVA – the Nova mix management software which
controls the console and stores/recalls mix settings.
• M.A.R.S. – the hard disk recorder. All audio recording is
managed by the M.A.R.S. control computer. All audio
files are stored on the M.A.R.S. hard disk which slots
into the rear panel of the frame.
