Perform a POR.
Does the error occur when the power is turned off/on?
Replace the lower
printer engine card
assembly.
Go to “Lower
printer engine
card assembly
removal” on
page 4-93.
Problem solved.

If the problem
remains, go to

Check the transfer belt steering motor assembly cables and
any associated cables for damage.
Are the above components free from crimps and damage?
Go to step 3. Repair or replace
the appropriate
cable assemblies
or replace the
transfer belt
steering motor
assembly.
Go to “Transfer
belt steering
motor removal”
on page 4-76.

Check the printhead shutter motor assembly cables and
any associated cables for damage.
Are the above components free from crimps and damage?
Go to step 4. Repair or replace
the appropriate
cable assemblies
or replace the
printhead shutter
motor assembly.

page 4-79.

Check the 2nd transfer roll retract motor assembly cables
and any associated cables for damage.
Are the above components free from crimps and damage?
Go to step 5. Repair or replace
