On an MC909X-K or MC909X-S, while the battery is partially released, simultaneously press and release the
left scan button and the Power button.
4. Push the battery to fully re-insert it in the mobile computer. One audible click can be heard as the battery is fully
inserted.
5. On the MC9090-G, press and hold the trigger.
or
On the MC909X-K or MC909X-S, press and hold the left scan button.
6. Connect the mobile computer to AC power using the CAM or insert the mobile computer into a powered cradle.
7. The mobile computer updates and then re-boots.
8. The calibration screen appears.
SIM Card
The SIM card, or smart card, is required for MC9094 (GPRS) and MC9097 (iDEN) phone service. The SIM card for
the MC9094 must be obtained from the phone service provider. The MC9097 comes from the factory with the
inactive SIM card pre-installed. The card fits into the mobile computer and can contain the following information:
•
Mobile phone service provider account details.
•
Information regarding service access and preferences.
•
Contact information, which can be moved to Contacts on the mobile computer.
•
Any additional services to which the user may have subscribed.
To install the SIM card:
1. Place the mobile computer into the suspend mode by pressing the red Power button.
2. Remove the SIM door on the back of the mobile computer.
NOTE After you insert the battery you have two seconds to press the trigger or left scan button.
NOTE Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card is only used in the MC9094 and MC9097 configurations.
