8. Replace the SIM door with one screw.

9. Press the red Power button.
10. On the MC9097, you must preform a master rest after installing a new SIM card.
a. Tap Start > Phone > Menu > Options > Error Log tab.
b. Tap the Master Reset button.
c. Tap OK.
d. Once an “X” appears in the Phone Antenna icon (wait a few seconds), perform a warm boot.
e. Wait for the mobile computer to reboot and then perform a second warm boot.
11. Tap Start > Phone > Menu > Options > Network tab and verify that the service provider appears in the Current
network:
field.
12. Make a call to verify connection.
NOTE On the MC9097, it is not recommended that you swap the SIM card with another SIM card. If you do swap
SIM cards, perform step 10.
NOTE For detailed information about WWAN activation and settings, refer to Chapter 5, MC9094 Configuration or
Chapter 6, MC9097 Configuration.
On the MC9097, if the SIM door is removed without removing the SIM card, you must warm boot the mobile
computer.
