providethedriveruptoa3.0secondalertwhena
metallicobject(s)maybeblockinglaneoftravel
•AdaptiveCruiseControlwithBraking–Whencruise
controlisonwiththespeedset,theadaptivecruise
controlhelpsthedrivermaintainasetfollowingdistance
behindaforwardvehiclebyautomaticallyutilizingthe
engineretarderandfoundationbrakes.
•CollisionMitigation–Providesaudibleandvisualalerts
tothedriverandappliesthefoundationbrakeswhenthe
systemdeterminesacollisionwithaforward,moving
vehicleisimminent.Theinterventioncanbeupto
two-thirdsofthevehicle’sbrakingcapacity.Immediate
driveractionisrequiredtopotentiallyavoidorlessenthe
severityofacollision.
