5.Tires:Checktreaddepth,tireinationandnoteiftread
isevenlyworn.Minimumtreaddepthis2/32inchonall
drivetires.Lookforcutsorotherdamagetothetread
sidewalls.Seeifvalvecapsandstemsaremissing,
broken,ordamaged.Checkdualspacingtoensurethat
dualwheelsareevenlyseparated,andthattiresarenot
touchingoneanother.
6.Hub:Checkforobviousleakingonoutsideorinsideof
wheel.Inspectaxleangesandwheelsealsforleaks
andloosemountinghardwareorbrokenitems.Check
lubelevel,ifequippedwithsightglass.
7.SpringSuspension:Checkconditionofspringfor
cracks,breaks,orshifting.Inspectspringhanger
fasteners,shackles,U-bolts,andnutsforwear,damage,
andtightness.
8.TorqueRodsandShockAbsorbers:Checktoseethat
torquerodsarenotcracked,broken,ormissing.Check
shockabsorbersforcracksorleaks.Thereshouldbe
nomissingorbrokenmountingboltsorwornbushings.
9.AirSuspension(ifequipped):Checkforairleaks,loose
components,anddamagetoairbag.Inspectrideheight
valveandlinkagefordamage.
10.Frame:Checkforcracksorbendsinframe.Makesure
therearenoloose,cracked,bent,broken,ormissing
crossmembersorcrossmemberfasteners.
•AirLinesandWiring:Checkairlinesandelectricalwiring
forpropersecurity,damage,andchang.Listenfor
audibleairleaks.
