Testing the Board Sensors
This procedure assumes the following:
 Each conveyor station has a part sensor that is positioned to sense the
workpiece.
 The rail width has been adjusted to fit a production sample workpiece.
 FmNT is in the MPC555 I/O Diagnostic dialog box.
Perform this procedure as applicable to the configuration of your dispensing
system.
1. Open the dispensing system hatch.
2. Place a production sample workpiece on the conveyor to the left of the pre-
dispense station part sensor.
3. In the MPC555 I/O Diagnostic dialog box, select the Station I/O Diagnostic
tab.
4. In the Station I/O Diagnostic dialog box, locate the part sensor inputs.
5. Manually move the workpiece under or over (depending upon system
configuration) the pre-dispense station part sensor and monitor the dialog box
Preheat Station Board Present input.
 The Board Present input should change from OFF to ON.
6. Move the workpiece out from under or over the part sensor and monitor the
dialog box Preheat Station Board Present input.
 The Board Present input should change from ON to OFF.
7. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for the Dispense Station and Post Heat station.
 If a bit does not toggle ON and OFF check the following:
- Board Sensor connections
- Sensitivity of the Board Sensor (See Exercise Sheet 2-15-1 on page 2-
137).
