Level 2 Maintenance, X-1000 Series Dispensing Systems 2-15 P/N 196515 (Revision A)
Information Sheet 2-2-5
Servo Shelf
A. Servo Shelf
1. The Servo Shelf, located in upper rear of the machine, houses the following
components:
 Servo Power Transformer  DC Cooling Fan
 XY Servo Interface PWA  Main Air Solenoid
 X and Y Servo Amplifiers  Dual Action Solenoid
 Low Pressure Sensor
2. It is accessible via a service hatch. Cables enter the Servo Shelf area from
the lower electronics via a cable conduit on the back of the machine. The Y-
axis cat track attaches to the front edge of the servo shelf where all cables
and pneumatics run to the dispense head.
B. Servo Power Transformer
1. The Transformer receives 208 to 240 VAC, 50 – 60 Hz from the Power
Manager and outputs an unregulated 42 to 85 VDC to the Servo Supply
Capacitors.
2. The Transformer is protected by a fuse (8A) located in the Power Input
Assembly
C. XY Servo Interface PWA
1. The XY Servo Interface contains all signal routing going to the dispense head
except for the camera coax cable and the CAN communication.
2. The board includes analog circuitry that conditions and amplifies the DAC
control signals between the PMAC and the amplifiers.
3. Servo supply capacitors and power dissipation circuitry are also located on
the board. To assist in troubleshooting, the board contains a power indicator
and XYZ Servo Motor status LEDS.
D. XY Servo Amplifiers
1. Each Servo Amplifier is mounted to an individual PWA located in the front of
the servo shelf above the servomotors.
2. Servo amplifiers control and regulate the motor current. The brushless DC
motors, and hall sensors are directly connected to the amplifiers.
3. The Servo Amplifiers are rated for 100 volts to accommodate the high output
voltage (42-85 VDC) from the unregulated motor power supply.
