PMAC Terminal Commands
A. PMAC Commands
1. Saving Downloads
In the terminal Mode type: Save [enter]
2. Clearing Memory
In the Terminal Mode type: $$$*** [enter]
3. Home Commands
M214-[enter]
Enables amplifiers
a [enter]
Closes the servos, powers the motors
b105r [enter]
Homes the Z axis
B104r [enter]
Homes the x and y axis
4. Jog Commands
Uses counts (PMAC term)
Linear encoders are 5 microns/count.
There are 1000 microns/mm.
25.4 mm/inch or 25.400 microns/inch
J=counts [enter]
Jogs to an absolute position relative to home
J^counts [enter]
Jogs relative from an actual position
J:counts [enter]
Jogs relative from commanded position
J=1000 [enter]
Causes current axis to move 10000 counts from
home position.
5. Motor Selection
Used to select current motor #1 (x-axis), #2 (y-axis), #3 (z-axis)
#1 [enter]
Addresses motor #1 (x-axis)
6. Axis Definitions
Used to scale microns to counts.
#1->.2x
-Scales axes #1(x axis) by .2 (1 count/5microns)
-
There should never be a reason to change this.
-If the program has a parameter of x limit set to
250000 microns (about 1 inch), this is scaled down to
5000 counts
.
