Disconnecting the DV-7000
Tools and Materials Needed:
 3/8-inch wrench
 3/10-inch wrench
 Small bottle brush
1. Use the Position Controls, either on the front panel or in the Jog Controls in
FmNT, and move the dispensing head to the front and center of the
dispensing area.
2. Disconnect the feed tube from the barbed cartridge fitting on the valve.
3. Push the cartridge release lever back towards the valve bracket.
4. Pull the dispensing cartridge out of the valve by pulling down gently on the
nozzle.
5. Use the 3/10-inch wrench to remove the barbed cartridge fitting from the
front of the dispensing cartridge.
6. Discard the barbed cartridge fitting according to MSDS recommendations.
7. WARNING! Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for handling,
health, chemical, safety, and disposal information for all fluids and materials
before use. All fluids and materials must be disposed of according to local
regulations. Wear gloves when performing this procedure to prevent contact
of caustic chemicals with skin.
8. While holding the dispensing cartridge in one hand, and the end of the feed
screw in the other, gently pull the feed screw out of the dispensing cartridge
body.
9. The feed screw thrust collar should remain attached to the feed screw.
10. Remove the lower bearing and the seal from inside of the dispensing
cartridge.
11. The lower bearing can be removed by hand. Use a cotton swab to carefully
remove the seal. Use caution, as the seal is very fragile.
12. While holding the dispensing cartridge in one hand, and the needle cap in
the other, gently twist the needle cap and remove it from the end of the
dispensing cartridge.
