Exercise Sheet 4-3-1
Conveyor I/O Testing
1. Check that conveyor belt forward and backward movement is smooth and
controlled using the Position Controls on the Conveyor Control Panel.
2. Use the Jog Commands to open the Position Control dialog box for the
conveyor.
Press Home to send the conveyor home.
Press Reinitialize to reset the conveyor.
3. Click Tools in the FmNT Main Window.
4. Click I/O Test in the Tools Window.
5. Click Conveyor.
6. Adjust the width to fit a sample board using the Position Controls.
7. Load the sample board into the Conveyor Port.
8. Locate the bit labeled S1 Sense in the I/O Test dialog box.
9. Move the board under or over the part sensor manually.
10. Check that the S1 SENSE bit in the I/O Test dialog box toggles ON and OFF
as the board passes under or over the sensor.
11. Repeat Steps 11-12 for each part sensor on your dispensing system.
12. Click OK in the I/O Test dialog box.
