What to do if R&S Inverter external reference is selected but no external signal is applied?

If the external reference is selected but no external signal is applied or the signal is out of range, you should check the selected reference signal source (internal or external) in the "Setup > Reference Oscillator" dialog. If there is no appropriate external source available, change the setting to 'internal'.
