Connecting your camcorder to your computer using the USB cable
(_) Turn the POWER switch to OFF (CHG) on your camcorder, and then
disconnect the USB cable.
(Z) Restart your computer.
Step 2: Install the USB driver on the supplied CD-ROM
Perform tim entire procedure described in" Installing the USB driver" on page 189.
Viewing images recorded on a n Memory Stick" _
Step 1: Uninstall the incorrect USB driver
(1) Turn on your computer and allow Windows to load.
(_) Insert a _ Memory Stick" into your camcorder.
@ Connect the AC Adaptor, and set the POWER switch to MEMORY.
(_) Connect the _ (USB) jack on your camcorder to the USB connector on your
computer using the supplied USB cable.
(_) Open your computer's _Device Manager."
Windows XP:
Select "Start" -+ _Control Panel" --+" Systen'l" --+" Hardware" tab and click
the _ Device Manager" button.
If there is no" System" inside" Pick a category" after clicking" Control Panel,"
click" Switch to classic view" instead.
Windows 2000:
Select" My Computer" _+" Control Panel" _+" System" _+" Hardware" tab,
and click the" Device Manager" button.
Other OS:
Select" My Computer" -+" Control Panel" -+" System," and click" Device
Manager."
(_) Select _ Other devices."
Select the device prefixed with the _T mark and delete.
Ex: (?)Sony Handycam
(Z) Turn the POWER switch to OFF (CHG) on your camcorder, and then
disconnect the USB cable.
_) Restart your computer.
