Self-diagnosis display
Your camcorder has a self-diagnosis display
function.
This function displays the current state of your
camcorder as a 5-digit code (a combination of a
letter and numbers) on the screen.
If a 5 digit code is displayed, check the following
list of codes. The last two digits (indicated by DD)
diffor depending on tile state of your camcorder.

Contact your Sony dealer or local
authorized Sony service facility.
5-digit display Cause and/or Corrective Action
C:04:EIKI • You are using a battery pack that is not an
"InfoLITHIUM" battery pack.
"_ Use an" InfuLITHIUM _ battery pack {p. 21,242).
C:21:EIKI • Moisture condensation has occurred.
-_ Eject the cassette and leave your camcorder for at least
one hour to acclimatize {p. 247).
C:22:I3K1 • The video heads are dirty.
Clean the heads using the Sony VS-25CLD cleaning
cassette (optional) (p. 248).
C:31:CtCt • A malfunction other than the above that you can service
C:32:I3K1 has occurred.
-) Eject the cassette and insert it again, then operate your
camcorder.
Disconnect tile power cord of the AC Adaptor or
remove tile battery pack. After reconnecting the power
source, operate your camcorder.
E:20:I3D • A malfunction that you cannot service has occurred.
E:61:I3D _ Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony
E:62:CtCt service facility and inform them of the 5-digit code.

If you are unable to rectify the problem even if you try corrective actions several times,
contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service Facility.
