6.6.1 Select a location for the bucket angle sensor bracket
For this sensor ... Position the mounting bracket ... So the connector faces ...
Bucket on the idler arm/ dogbone the side of the bucket linkage
(the section that connects the
bucket ram to the stick),
so the face of the bracket is
vertical
on the bucket/ quick coupler (hitch) the side of the bucket/ quick
coupler,
so the face of the bracket is
vertical
The following image shows a bucket angle sensor bracket installed on the idler arm
/ dogbone. The bracket is positioned horizontally by centering it on the link. Before
welding the bracket to the link, check the clearance to the hydraulic attachment
lines when the bucket cylinder is fully retracted.
