6.9.1 Select a location for the body angle sensor bracket
Select a location for the bracket so that:
l when installed the AS460 body angle sensor measures the pitch and roll of the
machine body
l the horizontal plane of the bracket is parallel to the horizontal plane of the
excavator's body
l the long axis of the bracket is either parallel or perpendicular to the boom
centerline
The following image shows a custom mounting plate (1) bolted to the hydraswivel
(2). When the bracket is bolted to the plate, the long axis of the bracket will be
perpendicular to the boom center line.
