7 Installing theCab Components
7.1 Introduction
The following sections provide detailed information on the best location for
installing the cab components.
7.2 Connect to machine power
To connect to machine power:
l Connect to switched power – see 7.2.1 Connect to switched power
l Validate the connection – see 7.2.2 Validate the connection to machine power
7.2.1 Connect to switched power
Connect the switched power cable (P/N 54486-xx) to the cab harness.
7.2.2 Validate the connection to machine power
1. Turn on the master disconnect switch.
2. Turn on the ignition.
3. Use a multimeter to validate the harness and cabling installation, as follows:

31-pin cab harness
bulkhead connector
1(+) and 2(–) Battery voltage
39-pin control box connector D(+) and F(–) Battery voltage
6-pin connectors F(+) and A(–) Battery voltage
4. Turn off the ignition.
5. Turn off the master disconnect switch.
7.3 Control box
To install and connect the control box:
l Assemble the RAM mount
l Mount the control box on the pole
