7 Installing theCab Components

6. After pressing Finish :
if you installed and configured an SNM940, the cellular signal strength
indicator is displayed in the status bar.
if you installed and configured an SNRxxx data radio, the radio is shown
as connected in the Diagnostics dialog.

Press and hold P to turn the control box off.
8. Turn off the ignition.
9. Turn off the master disconnect switch.
7.5 Remote switch
The excavator system can use a remote switch for:
l turning map recording events on and off
l recording a point
7.5.1 Install and connect the remote switch
To install the remote switch assembly (P/N0794-8661):
1. Select the joystick that you want to mount the remote switch onto.
2. Attach the integrated clamp onto the joystick base ring.
3. Insert the switch assembly into the clamp ring and tighten the fasteners. Do not
over-tighten; only use sufficient force to hold the clamp in place.
4. Verify that the switch assembly does not affect the full range of joystick
motion.
5. If required, cut the remote switch assembly cable to length.
6. Use a Deutsch crimper to crimp the Deutsch pins.
7. Insert the pins into the back of the blank Deutsch 12-pin receptacle provided in
the remote switch kit. See the following diagram:
