9 2D system measurements
9.1 Introduction
For optimum system guidance, you must take accurate machine measurements and
record them in the worksheet provided. This information is critical to system
operation.
9.2 Prepare for measure up
1. Use a blank worksheet to record your machine measurements. Make sure you
also record the:
a. date
b. measurement units (metric or imperial)
c. machine type and its name
2. Make sure that you have all of the necessary tools available.
9.3 Measure up worksheets
Use the following measure up worksheets, depending on your machine settings and
bucket sensor positioning.
For Arm Sensor Type AS300/AS45x:
l Bucket sensor mounted on Idler Arm/Dogbone,See "" on page 89
l Bucket sensor mounted on Bucket/Quick Coupler,See "" on page 90
For Arm Sensor Type Caterpillar PSC:
l Cat PSCSystem,See "" on page 91
Note that when the bucket sensor is mounted on the bucket/ quick coupler, you need
to perform fewer measurements.
