Installing and connecting an SNM940 cellular modem
Mount the cellular modem inside the cab of your machine.
Use the following cables to connect the cellular modem to the rear main harness:
l P/N 82892-xx for systems that use only a cellular modem
l P/N 89774 for systems that use both a cellular modem and a data radio
See the system cable diagram for your machine for details.
For systems that use only a cellular modem:
1. Plug the 34-socket connector on the SNM940 interface cable (P/N82892-xx)
into the SNM940 cellular modem.
2. Connect the 12-pin connector on the interface cable to the radio connector on
the rear main harness (brown to brown).
For systems that use both a cellular modem and a data radio , see 7.4.2 SNRxxx

For detailed installation and validation instructions, refer to the Trimble® SNM940
Connected Site® Gateway Installation Guide.
Third-party radio cable preparation
Pre-install configuration
Follow your radio manufacturer's instructions to configure the radio to connect to
the local Wi-Fi network or your cellular network.
Third-party radio cable preparation
Third-party radios and cellular modems connect to the system harness serial bus or
Ethernet bus using a custom made cable.
Construct the cable so that:
1. The radio end has a connector and pin-out suitable to your radio.
2. The main harness end has a 12 pin Deutch connector (Deutch DT04-12PB)
