Simplified registration procedure
This method can be used if the PABX does not use an authentication code or if the code is 0000. In
case of doubt, you can always try to use this method; if it doesn’t work, then the specific code procedure
must be used.
- Activate the registration phase on the fixed system
- Switch on the 4074 Gx: long press on
- 7 (long press): PASSWORD is displayed
- Key in the code 123456 followed by OK (long press): displays 1: SYSTEM NUMBER
- OK: displays ENTER 1-5: 1
- 5 then OK: displays 1: SYSTEM NUMBER
- 6 then OK: displays SUBSCR. #5 OK?
- OK: displays subscr. Running
Specific code registration procedure
The GAP system uses an authentication code with a value different from 0000.
- Activate the registration phase on the fixed system
- Switch on the 4074 Gx: long press on
- 7 (long press): PASSWORD is displayed
- Key in the code 123456 then OK (long press): displays 1: SYSTEM NUMBER
- OK: displays ENTER 1-5: 1
- 5 then OK: displays 1: SYSTEM NUMBER
- 3: displays 3: CONFIG SYSTEM
- OK: displays 1: TERMINAL TYPE
- OK: displays SYS 5 TYPE: FREE
- t (4 times): displays SYS 5 TYPE: UNDEF
- OK: displays 1: TERMINAL TYPE
- 7: displays 7: AC
- OK: displays SYS 5AC: 0000
- Type the authentication code followed by OK: displays 1: TERMINAL TYPE
- ÿ on the navigator: displays 1: SYSTEM NUMBER
- 6 then OK: displays SUBSCR. #5 OK?
- OK: displays Subscr. Running
Registration completed/failed
After a few seconds (one or two minutes maximum), if the registration is successful, the radio field icon
and subsc. accepted are displayed. The 4074 Gx terminal is now ready to function in GAP mode with
the new system.
In the case of failure, if after several minutes the message subsc. accepted is not obtained, or if the
message subsc. Rejected appears, switch off the terminal (long press on ) and restart the process.
