DSL modem access
The DSL modem functionality allows connection of Alcatel OmniPCX Office to an external IP network
via an external DSL modem connected to the system by means of the WAN interface (second Ethernet
interface of the CoCPU@) card). Connection is “permanent” if the protocol used is PPTP and optionally
can be "permanent" or "on demand" if the protocol used is PPPoE. The authorised bandwidth is between
64 Kbps and 2 Mbps.
LAN access to LAN routing
The LAN to LAN routing functionality uses an external router to manage the connection to the Internet.
The router is connected to Alcatel OmniPCX Office via the WAN interface (second Ethernet interface
of the CoCPU@) card). The connection to the WAN can be of any sort, ISDN or ADSL for instance.
Connection is generally “permanent”, but can also be “call on demand”. The authorised bandwidth
is between 64 Kbps and 2 Mbps.
