HA-8190V 1-3
1.1 Overview
Calibration coefficient setting
You can enter calibration coefficients from the touch panel.
1.1.2 Features
58 seconds per sample measurement in the Variant mode, and 24 seconds in the Fast mode
It takes 58 seconds to measure HbA1c and HbF, separate HbS and HbC and detect HbE and HbD (Variant mode).
Tests for just HbA1c and HbF are completed in 24 seconds (Fast mode).
Continuous measurements for up to 100 samples (when set to loop transportation)
The instrument can measure a maximum of 50 consecutive samples if sample rack transportation is set to “one-way
transportation”, and 100 samples if it is set to “loop transportation”.
* Sample rack transportation is set to “one-way transportation” at the time of shipment. If you prefer “loop
transportation”, contact your distributor.
Managing information on the reagents and column
Just by entering 10-digit codes, you can store the expiration dates and lot numbers of the reagents (eluents, hemolysis
washing solution and calibrator) and column in the instrument. An error message appears on the screen if you try to
enter an incorrect or invalid code. Reagent information can be added to measurement result reports to show that the
proper reagents were used for measurements.
Easy to use
Priming before measurements is automated, so no action is needed from the time when power is activated to the time
when measurements start. A touch panel makes measurement conditions and menu settings easy to identify and
operate. Measurement results, instrument status and operating procedures are displayed, while the remaining volumes
of reagents are shown graphically. Chromatograms can also be viewed along with measurement results.
Highly accurate measurement results
Measurements are performed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), a technique that provides accurate
data on HbA1c. A column is used to remove labile HbA1c (L-A1c). Stable HbA1c values, HbF values and
chromatograms can be obtained.
Sample tube rotating for proper barcode scanning
Sample tubes are rotated in order to properly scan barcodes. Therefore, measurements can be started without having
to align barcodes for reading when setting sample tubes in the sample rack.
Sample tube stirring
Samples are automatically stirred before measurement, so stable measurement results can be obtained without
variations due to blood sedimentation.
Easy maintenance
Daily maintenance can usually be performed without tools as parts can be easily replaced and tightened by hand. In
addition, the prefilter is incorporated into the column, removing the need for prefilter replacement (as was necessary
with earlier models).
