Registering/Changing Operator IDs and Passwords
Follow the instructions described below to register new operator IDs or change existing operator IDs. Moreover, by
setting passwords for the operator IDs, you can restrict third parties from operating the instrument.
a On the standby screen, touch , <5. Initial settings menu>, <5. Operator mgmt. menu> and <2. Register/
Edit information> in that order.
b Select an operator number.
• Touch the number box (#01 to #10).
c Set an operator ID and password.
For registering new operator IDs:
For changing existing operator IDs or passwords:
Setup item Description
Operator ID Enter a new operator ID. The optional
hand-held barcode reader can also be
used.
Settable characters:
Up to 15 digits of symbols, numbers and
letters
Password Enter a password as needed (up to
8 numbers). Passwords cannot be set
without entering operator IDs.
Password
(Re-enter)
When the password is entered in the
<Password> field, enter the same
password again in this box for verification.
Setup item Description
Operator ID To change the operator ID, delete the
current operator ID and enter a new
operator ID. The optional hand-held
barcode reader can also be used.
Settable characters:
Up to 15 symbols, numbers and letters
Current password Enter the current password.
New password To change the password, enter a new
password in <New password>, and enter
the same password again in <New
password (Re-enter)> for verification. If
you do not want to change the password,
enter the current password in both <New
password> and <New password
(Re-enter)>.
