No. Component Description
a D1 (drain joint) Connects to the optical unit drain tube.
b D2 (drain joint) Connects to the liquid waste drain tube.
c Hemolysis washing
solution tube (W)
Carries hemolysis washing solution to the instrument.
d Cooling fan ( 3) Removes hot air to protect the inside of the instrument from excessive heat.
e B.C.R. terminal Connects to the optional hand-held barcode reader.
f DRAIN terminal Connects to the fluid level detection sensor cord for the optional liquid waste bottle.
g WASH terminal Connects to the fluid level detection sensor cord for the hemolysis washing
solution bottle.
h DATA OUT terminal Connects to a communication cable for an external device.
* This terminal can be replaced with an Ethernet terminal (optional Ethernet board)
to connect the instrument to a LAN. For more information, contact your
distributor.
i START and STOCK
terminals
Connects to the optional side sampler.
j Main power switch Used to turn on or off the main power supply. Keep this switch on for daily use, and
turn it off before you start maintenance tasks or if the instrument is not to be used
for extended periods of time.
k Power input terminal Connects to the power cord that comes with the instrument.
