1.6 Relocation
1.6.2 Draining Fluid from the Tubes
Remove the eluent packs and hemolysis washing solution bottle from the instrument and drain any remaining fluid
from the tubes.
Prepare: Cap for hemolysis washing solution bottle (that was originally on the bottle before opening, 1), caps for
eluent packs (that were originally on the packs before opening, 3) and gauze
1 Remove the eluent packs.
a Lay out some gauze near the instrument.
b Remove the eluent A pack from the bottle tray.
c Hold the pack by the hard plastic neck and remove the bottle cap
A from the pack.
• Place the nozzle on the gauze.
d Attach the cap (that was originally on the pack before opening) to
the pack, and tighten it securely.
e Wipe any liquid from the nozzle with a new piece of gauze.
f Remove the eluent B pack and eluent CV pack in the same
procedure as eluent A pack.
• See steps b to e.
g Wrap the bottle caps A, B and CV with gauze and place them in
the bottle tray.
Hold here.
NOTE:
Remove the bottle caps with nozzle from the packs and
bottle somewhere other than above the instrument.
Liquid may spill and damage the instrument.
Do not hold the eluent pack by the soft aluminium bag.
Eluent may spill and damage the instrument.
