5.2.7 desc
This command sets the description on the specified interface.
Syntax:
desc <string>
The command’s syntax format is described below:
Arguments Description
<string>
Specifies the interface description\name using an
alphanumerical string (up to 16 characters).
Defaults
NA
Functional notes
Use inverted commas when using the space character as part of the description.
The string is limited to 16 characters.

The following example sets the description on VLAN 3.
