5. Lubricate the cylinder barrel with oil, and
carefully insert the complete piston rod assembly
into the barrel, using caution not to damage the
seals on the retaining ring groove. Push the
cylinder head into the cylinder barrel far enough
to expose the retaining ring groove, and install
retaining ring, 3. Pull the piston rod outwards to
seat the cylinder head against the retaining ring.
6. Install setscrew, 1, aligning it with the groove in
cylinder head, 2.

Disassembly
1. Use a spanner wrench or heavy punch and
hammer to remove nut, 1.

2. Tap the cylinder head, 1, into the cylinder far
enough to remove snap ring, 2, with a
screwdriver.
