Attach the safety chain to the unit at the bottom hitch
clevis on the tongue, as shown. Install the large
round washer, 2, and the 1″ long spacer, 3, over the
5/8″ x2-3/4″ cap screw, 1. Position the large angled
link, 4, on the end of the safety chain over the spacer,
and install this assembly through the hole in the
bottom hitch plate on the tongue. Install the flat
washer and locknut, 5, and torque to 190 Nám (140
ft-lb).

TRAILING LIGHTS
The trailing lights, as shown, should be used when
towing the mower-conditioner on a public road.
The trailing lights consist of two red tail/brake lights,
1, two amber flashing lights, 2, and a lighting control
box, 3, that controls the signals from the tractor to the
mower-conditioner and connecting wire harnesses.
This lighting system is intended to improve the
machine visibility on public roads. This machine is
equipped with a lighting system which conforms to
ASAE S279.10.
