BEVEL GEARBOX - DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the belt idler pulley by removing the
cotter pin, 1, and washers; slide pivot shaft out of
the mount.
2. To disassemble the conditioner drive shaft
assembly, the drive pulley must be removed.
Remove the cap screw, 2, and flat washer, if it is
not already removed. Use a puller to remove the
sheave, 3, from the shaft.

After removing the sheave, remove the key, 1,
washers, 2, and spacer, 3.
3. Remove the six cap screws, 4, Figure 9, and lock
washers retaining the belt drive pulley and shaft
assembly to the gearbox housing. Pry the
assembly off of the gearbox housing.

4. Remove the gearbox cover plate by removing ten
cap screws and lock washers; pry cover plate off.
5. Remove the front and rear bearing caps by
removing four cap screws and lock washers and
prying the caps off. Use caution not to damage
the shims located under the front bearing cap.
6. Remove the input shaft assembly, 1, by sliding it
forward, and lifting it up out of the top of the
gearbox housing.
