7. Tip the gearbox over, and remove the four cap
screws, 1, and lock washers retaining the
anti-wrap shield and bearing cap on the output
shaft. Remove the anti-wrap shield, and pry off
the bearing cap, being careful not to damage the
shims. Remove the output shaft by pulling it out
of the gearbox housing.

8. Disassemble the input shaft by positioning it in a
press, and push the shaft out of the gear and
bearing. The gear is mounted on a straight spline
on the shaft. After removing the gear and bearing
on one side, flip the shaft over, and press off the
opposite gear and bearing.
9. Use a split bearing puller to capture the bearings
on the output shaft, and press them off.

10. Remove the cotter pin, castellated nut, 1, and flat
washer from the conditioner drive shaft assem-
bly; slide the gear, 2, off of the shaft.
11. Reinstall the castellated nut onto the shaft
backwards, and position the assembly in a press.
Press the shaft out of bearing and housing.
NOTE: The shaft seal, 3, will be damaged when the
shaft is pressed out, and must be replaced.
12. Use a split bearing puller to remove the
remaining bearing on the conditioner drive shaft.
