5. Reinstall the divider sheet assembly using a cap

screw and locknut at 1, and six carriage bolts,

lock washers and nuts at 2. If the left side swing

out shield was removed, reinstall it on the unit

using two cap screws and locknuts at 3.

6. Position the conditioner drive belt on the

sheaves, and tighten the nuts, 1, on the spring

tension rod to tension spring, 2, to a length of 279

mm (11 in) between the hooks.

7. Refill the gearbox with Case 135H EP (API GL5

80W90) gear oil or Case Gear Lube SSL (75W90

synthetic) to the level of the check plug; the

gearbox holds approximately 300 ml (10.5 oz.) of

oil.

UPPER CONDITIONER ROLL DRIVE SHAFT -

DISASSEMBLY

1. Remove the conditioner roll drive shaft by

removing the four cap screws, 1, retaining it to

the conditioner roll gearbox shaft, and the two

pinch bolts, 2, from the yoke attached to the

conditioner roll. Slide the yoke off of the

conditioner roll shaft and remove the drive shaft.
