CONDITIONER BELT
The conditioner belt must be properly tensioned at all
times to prevent excessive slipping. A loose belt may
cause conditioner rolls to wrap or plug.
Check the belt tension each day for the first few days.
Check weekly thereafter.
WARNING
Disengage the PTO, turn off the tractor engine
and remove the key. Wait for all movement to
stop before leaving operators position. Never
adjust, lubricate, clean or unplug machine with
the engine running. Failure to comply could
result in death or serious injury.

The conditioner belt is tensioned by a spring. The belt
is properly tensioned when the spring, 1, is tightened
to a length of 279 mm (11 in) between the hooks.
Loosen nuts, 2, tighten the inner nut to stretch the
spring and relock the nuts.
