Inspect for coolant leaks and repair if necessary.
Remove the pressure test equipment and the plug from
the pressure relief valve overflow tube (if equipped).
Install the coolant system pressure cap.
Hoses - Inspection (1-12)
Caution: Do not bend or deform the hoses during in-
spection. This can cause the hoses to crack.
Inspect all hoses for cracks or cuts.
Inspect all hoses for signs of ballooning or collapsing.
NOTE: Engine overheating or coolant overflow can result
from internal deterioration of the coolant hoses. Refer to
Coolant Temperatures Above Normal or Loss of Engine
coolant in the Troubleshooting Logic Chart. Particles of de-
teriorated hose can restrict or completely stop the coolant
flow.
Leaks of one drop per minute result in a loss of one gallon
of coolant per month.
Leaks Must Be Repaired.
