Fill the engine with clean 15W-40 oil. Refer to Procedure
2-07.
Operate the engine until the water temperature reaches
82°C [180°F], and check for oil leaks.
Lubricating Oil Pan (2-12)
Removal
Drain the lubricating oil. Refer to Procedure 2-06.
Remove the capscrews and the lubricating oil transfer
tube. Refer to Procedure 2-11.
NOTE: Dispose of used oil in accordance with federal, state,
and local laws and regulations.
Remove the oil pan mounting capscrews and the oil pan.
Cleaning and Inspection
Steam clean the oil pan, and dry it with compressed air.
