Installation
Use 15W-40 oil to lubricate the shaft, the gears, and the
bushings. Also, lubricate the area between the driven
gear and the body.
Install the driven gear on the shaft.
Install a new gasket on the pump body, and install the
cover.
Install the capscrews and tighten.
Torque Value: 27 N•m [20 ft-lb]
Check the gears for freedom of rotation in the pump.
Install main oil pressure regulator. Refer to Procedure
2-15.
Install the power steering pump mounting flange gasket
and cover. Tighten the capscrews.
Torque Value: 27 N•m [20 ft-lb]
Install a new gasket on the mounting trunion of the lu-
bricating oil pump.
