Repair Manual, Bulletin No. 3810469.

Throttle Linkage Adjustment Incorrect
or Binding

Check throttle linkage adjustment.
Refer to Procedure 5-02.

Vehicle Parasitics Excessive

Check vehicle brakes dragging,
transmission malfunction, etc.

Intake and/or CAC Air Leak

Visually check for air leaks in the intake
system. Tighten clamps. Refer to Proce-
dure 3-01.

Air In The Fuel - Spongy Throttle Is
The Symptom on PT Systems

Check for air in fuel. Tighten fuel
connections and fuel filter(s).

Fuel Rail Line or Fuel Rail Test Instrumenta-
tion Gauge Line Excessively Long, Large in
Diameter, or entrained With Air Causing it to
Act as an Accumulator

Visually inspect the fuel rail pressure lines for
misinstallation. Remove rail pressure line
and/or gauge line and bleed air. Check
again. Replace lines as necessary.
