Adjust automotive idle speed. Adjust VS idle
speed. Refer to Procedure 5-05 and the PT
Fuel Pump Rebuild and Calibration Manual,
Bulletin No. 3379084.

Air in the Fuel

Check for air in the fuel. Tighten fuel
connections. Tighten filter(s). Check tank
stand pipe. Check PT fuel pump road speed
governor (STC only). Refer to Procedure
5-16.

Fuel Inlet Restriction Excessive

To check restriction, refer to Procedure 5-01.
Replace fuel filter element or damaged/
improperly sized fuel inlet plumbing. Refer to
N14 CELECT™ System Troubleshooting and
Repair Manual, Bulletin No. 3810469.

Fuel Drain Line Restriction Excessive

Check for loops, restricted fittings, lines, and
tank vents. Refer to Procedure 5-19 for PT

Repair or replace fuel pump. Check:
Throttle leakage set incorrectly
Incorrect idle parts
Low idle governor

calibration specifications.
