Side-by-Side Package Detection Setup
Prerequisites:
Top Camera (mounted at +15 degrees or less)
Software versions (AV6010 Camera v6.0 and RangeFinder v8.0)
System has been properly setup with Install Wizard
Confirm all application parameters are correctly entered in the AV6010
user interface (e.g., min and max box sizes)
Image cropping lines properly set during initial camera setup
Tools and Materials Required:
Connection to a camera in the system using SBS
Camera Image Viewer (version 6.0 or newer)
Sample packages to create side-by-side conditions
Getting Started
1. Establish a connection with the top camera and open the AV6010 user
interface. (In a multi-camera system, this connection can be established with
any camera via the IMAGE network. See Connecting to the IMAGE
Network.)
IMPORTANT: Do NOT connect to the SYNC network.
2. Select Setup > Options > Side-by-Side > Settings from the menu tree.
The Side-by-Side window is displayed.
3. Under Side-by-Side Licensing, set Side-by-Side Camera to Top.
(Currently, only the top-read camera can be licensed for SBS.)
IMPORTANT: The system can be licensed before or after setup and
calibration is complete. A license key must be obtained, entered and
verified before SBS can be used for normal operations. An Accu-Sort
trained and authorized technician must obtain the key and register an
AV6010 for SBS. For additional information, contact Accu-Sort at 1-800-
BAR-CODE.
4. To calibrate the system prior to licensing, use the Test Mode. (This mode is
limited to 500 triggers.) This can be selected from the Side-by-Side Enabled
drop-down list.
5. Click Update.
6. Go to Setup > Options > Side-by-Side > Ignore Codes in the menu tree.
7. Define any ‘match codes’ that the system should ignore even if a side-by-
side (SBS) condition is identified.
8. Click Update.
