Serial Communications
Use this window to set the serial communications requirements for your
application. In multiple camera / tunnel applications, each camera may have
unique serial communication settings, if needed. At the very least, the
Transmit Point settings will be different.
Prerequisites: You will need to know the serial communications details:
Baud rate, stop bits, parity, data bits, flow control,
transmit message type and
keep alive message.
To set the serial communications:
1. Select Setup > Serial Communications from the menu tree.
The Serial Communications window is displayed.
2. Select a Baud Rate.
3. Select a Stop Bits.
4. Select a Parity.
5. Select a Data Bits.
6. Select a Flow Control.
7. Select a Transmit Message Type from the drop-down list.
8. Enter a Keep Alive Time (sec).
9. Enter a Keep Alive Message.
This message is sent when the Keep Alive time expires.
10. Click Update to save any changes.
11. Click Reset to return all parameters to the last values saved.
