Focus and Detection
Use this window to set the key focusing and package detection requirements
for your application.
Prerequisites: You must know your application requirements for:
minimum/maximum package sizes (length, width and height),
package spacing,
conveyor width (automatically set by the AV6010 Install Wizard),
focus source and
package detection trigger source.
NOTE: It is recommended that the Focus and Detection parameters be
set before running the AV6010 Install Wizard (also called the AutoCal
Wizard).
To set the Focus and Detection configuration:
1. Select Setup > Focus and Detection from the menu tree.
The Focus and Detection window is displayed.
2. Enter the Minimum Package Size dimensions (length, width and
height).
3. Enter the Maximum Package Size dimensions (length, width and
height).
4. Enter the Minimum Package Spacing (i.e., the minimum distance
between packages being conveyed through the scanning area).
5. Confirm the Conveyor Width.
(There is no need to enter the width here since it is automatically entered
by the AV6010 Install Wizard.)
6. Confirm the Focus Source used by your system. Typically, this should
be set for RangeFinder. Change, if necessary, to match your application.
If you change the Focus Source, click Update first before selecting the
Package Detection Trigger Source.
7. Select the Package Detection Trigger Source.
8. Click Update to save any changes.
9. Click Reset to return all parameters to the last values saved.
